The Race Is On

Now that that’s all behind us – the new year! that really weird (when you think about it) #TrumpShutdown due to that racist, capricious, unnecessary wall of a campaign promise that shall go on unkept because it is all an expensive absurdity! whatever the controversy du jour! – I propose that “What’s your end game?” soon becomes the “What’s your damage?” of 2019.

Because, as the Spice Girls once sung, the race is on to get out of the bottom.

The phrase already is deep into the zeitgeist, so it might as well happen now.

Taylor Swift titled one of the songs on reputation, her career-redefining 2017 juggernaut, “End Game.” Then, she made it a single and shot and released a very cool video for it.

Benedict Cumberbatch stated his Doctor Strange and the rest of the Avengers – and humanity – were “in the end game, now” no sooner had Josh Brolin’s Thanos made it sufficiently clear he was here, at last, and ready to scratch, in last summer’s apex of a first parter, Avengers: Infinity War.

Lil Rel Howery’s character attempted to explain Bird Box…right there in the middle of the Netflix Sandra Bullock starrer…to the other characters in Bird Box using a turn at the phrase.

An end game is forward, and it is final. It’s a shedding. From it comes a new beginning.

What’s your end game?
