What a great night for the cast of The King of Comedy.
Robert De Niro received the 2019 SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Award down in L.A., while SF Sketchfest saluted Sandra Bernard and her career in comedy, in situ at the Castro Theatre here in San Francisco, before a special screening of the 1982 Martin Scorsese film, in which she broke through and for which she received the National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actress.
She is still here, damn it. Thank goodness.
