The Gay Holidays Are Nigh

Just in time for my birthday.

You have heard about Happiest Season, right – the upcoming hulu original lesbian holiday film premiering on Nov. 25. Well, its soundtrack is dropping a week from today, on Nov. 6, three days after Election 2020, ready to usher in a new era, alright.

Fingers crossed, anyway.

The Facet Records/Warner Records album is executive produced Justin Tranter, the Grammy-nominated songwriter behind hits for DNCE, Gwen Stefani, and Selena Gomez, and features LGBTQ+ songwriters or artists on each of its 11 tracks in celebration of the queer community, including Anne-Marie, Bebe Rexha, Sia, Tegan and Sara, and more. Even better, you can listen to Tegan and Sara’s new original song for the film, “Make You Mine This Season,” today.

Happiest Season, directed by actress/filmmaker Clea DuVall (HBO’s Veep, But I’m a Cheerleader) and starring Kristen Stewart and Mackenzie Davis (Irresistible), is a (gay!) holiday rom-com that captures the range of emotions tied to wanting your family’s acceptance, being true to yourself, and trying not to ruin Christmas. The Rental’s Alison Brie, Aubrey Plaza (Ingrid Goes West), Schitt’s Creek Emmy darling Daniel Levy, Mary Holland (Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates), Burl Moseley (The CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Victor Garber (TV’s Alias), and Mary Steenburgen co-star.

OMGays, “Make You Mine This Season” is so good!
