A group of mes amies franco-péruviennes from high school in Lima, Peru, and in Paris, France, is helping to manage #ApoyemosJuntosPe, an ongoing GoFundMe campaign to raise crucial funds for Peruvian hospitals in need of personal protective equipment (PPE) to fight COVID-19.

To support the various Peruvian institutions pleading for PPE during this pandemic moment of crisis, the humanitarian-aid organization Unidad 4×4 is asking for our donations today. These funds will go to purchase and supply the necessary medical equipment. As of this writing, they were about to meet their goal, but I certainly can assure you that there is real need down there, and anything you can share will go a long way to make a difference.

Unidad 4×4 was created to assist several Peruvian localities affected by the huaycos (destructive mudslides) brought on by intense end-of-summer rains in March 2015. (They call it 4×4 as a tip o’ the hat to the all-terrain 4×4 vehicles volunteer teams use to reach the farthest, hardest-to-reach corners and be of service.)

I know that there is need exactly where you are reading this – I get it. But if you could #SpareaLittleChange, that would mean the world.
